Applewood Park, established in the year 1982 and located in the south-east region of Calgary, Alberta province is a residential neighborhood. It is situated at the eastern corner of the city, north of 17 Avenue SE. Elliston Park which is the site of GlobalFest fireworks and is located to the south-west of the community.
The neighborhood of Applewood Park had a population of 6,498 living in about 2,215 residents. The total land area was found to be 0.62 square miles and had a population density of 10,500 per square miles as of 2012.
Almost half of the total population living in the Applewood Park are immigrants as of 2000. A small portion of about 2% buildings were apartments or condominiums of which 12% of the housing was given out for rent.
