Bridlewood, located in the south-west region of Calgary, Alberta, Canada is a residential neighborhood located at the south-western edge of the city, south of the community of Evergreen and north of the Trail of Spruce Meadows. To the east part, it borders a wetland called the Bridlewood Creek, which was created as a stormwater retention pond by the City of Calgary. It also has the Spruce Meadows equestrian facility to its immediate South.
Bridlewood was established as recently as in 1998. This new community was given its name due to its nearness to the Spruce Meadows equestrian complex. Bridlewood has 1 Christian (Glenmore Christian Academy), one Catholic (Monsignor J.J O'Brien) and one public school (Bridlewood Elementary)
All buildings in this 1.2 square miles region are mostly single-family detached homes, and only a very few of the housing is given out for rent.
