The total population is approx. 18,114 and the population density is 26,068 per square mile. It is a shopping hub, and the main shopping complex is called The Core shopping center.
Downtown Calgary has the second largest cluster of head offices in Canada. The region is divided into five neighborhoods - the Central Business District, Chinatown, Eau Claire, the West End, and the East Village.
