Queensland is a residential neighborhood which was annexed in 1961 and established in the year 1973. It is located in the south-east part of Calgary and is bounded to the west by Bow Bottom Trail, to the north by the Fish Creek Provincial Park and Diamond Cove community, and to the south by the Canyon Meadows Drive.

Queensland has a land area of 0.62 square miles, and the community of the neighborhood is served by the Wilma Hansen Junior High and the Haultin Memorial Elementary public schools.

The prime and unique location of Queensland gives the community residents easy access to all the major transportation routes. This has also made traveling to the Calgary International Airport or downtown very simple and convenient.
