Ramsay, which is located in the south-east region of Calgary, Alberta is a residential neighborhood which was named in the year 1956. It is located south of Inglewood and east of the Macleod Trail, Elbow River, Scotiabank Saddledome arena and the Stampede Grounds. It borders the industrial area of Alyth-Bonny Brook to the south-east. The eastern part of the neighborhood consists mainly of older homes.
It was in the 1880s that Ramsay was developed, by a man called Wesley Fletcher Orr and his partners. It has a land area of approx. 0.39 square miles.
The Ecole Ste. Anne Elementary, Ramsay Elementary public school, Junior & Senior Calgary Catholic School, Janus Academy, and a school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder serves the community in the neighborhood.
